今回は、六角堂を紹介します。

本堂東側の要石（かなめいし）は「へそ石」とよばれ、下京の中心地であるといわれています。六角堂の名は、本堂の平面が六角形であるところからそう呼ばれるようになりました。周りには一杯の鳩がいます。

Chou-hou-ji（Rokakudo）

We will see Rokakudo which is in the center of Shimogyo-ku in Kyoto.

The main stone situated at the east side of Hondo is named heso-stone and is said to be in the center of Shimogyo-ku in Kyoto. Rokakudo is named after the shape of the roof of Hondo.There are a lot of pigeons there.
