今回も、日本の伝統産業の紹介第２弾です。
都メッセで行われた伝統産業の展示会でひときわ人目をひいたのが
下の写真のキセル。

キセル（煙管）では吸い口とタバコを乗せる部分にのみ金属を使用することから、「入るときと出るときは金を使うが、中間には金を使わない」というところからキセル乗車という名前がついたらしいです。なるほどなーと思いました。

Kiseru

We shall look at the Japanese traditional industry.
Kiseru is one of the most stimulating items of all the exhibits at the traditional Japanese industry convention at Miyako messe. (you can see the picture above↑）

The kiseru is used for the act that people don’t pay for the proper fare. As the gold is not used in the central part of the kiseru, people try to avoid paying for the fare except for beginning and ending. That story was very impressive for me.
