今回は、イギリスの大学に留学する際に求められるIELTSやTOEFLに
ついて述べたい。通常、イギリスの大学に留学したければ、IELTSで６、TOEFL(IBT)で80点程度のスコアは必要になってくる。

現在は、イギリスの大学でもIELTSとTOEFLどちらも採用している
ところが多い。自分の適性にあわせて受験すればいい。
だが、できればどちらかの試験に絞ることだ。

IELTSとTOEFLでは、傾向と対策がかなり異なるため、短期間で
両方のスコアアップをしようとすると、両方とも中途半端にしかアップしない
可能性がある。どちらかに絞ることでより質の高いスコアアップのための学習ができるはずだ。ただ、IELTSしか受けつけない大学もまだ少なくないので
TOEFLで受験する人は必ず希望する大学がTOEFLのスコアを受け付けて
いるか確認しておこう。

Focus on the target test for high-quality Input

We shall look at the tests such as IELTS and TOEFL which are required to apply for the University in the U.K. Usually, IELTS score 6 or TOEFL score 80 (Internet-based test) is required for entry.

Nowadays, most Universities adopt both tests as the criteria for students’ English proficiency. You are able to choose whichever you like. The main key to success is to focus on studying for the test you select.

There is a big difference between the IELTS test and the TOEFL test.
If you tried to improve the both scores at the same time, you might not achieve the target score because of lacking in concentration.
Once you decide the test you take and the target score, it is easier for you to prepare for the test. Finally, you had better look into the requirement for applying because some Universities do not accept the TOEFL score. (Only IELTS score)
